Scrappy Quilting Banner

Quilting projects can be very simple.  I found this adorable little doll at the drug store. I decided to buy her and make a quilt to match.  I went to my stash and found a couple matching fabrics- one for the back and one for the front As you can see from the picture, one of the fabrics is a "cheater" quilt fabric.  I sewed the two fabrics together, pillow style, with some soft batting in the center.  Then I both quilted and tied the layers together for the look I wanted.  Now I have a cute little present to give to a special little girl.
