Quilted Star Potholders
Here is a great beginner project. Get out those scraps and make a variety of quilt squares in potholder size. Bind and quilt them for a fun set of potholders. There are 4 quilt squares in the potholders below. On the bottom left you have a friendship star. Above it is a Sawtooth star. Continuing clockwise you have friendship star with a pinwheel in the center, and then an Ohio star quilt block. The thing about potholders is that they use very little fabric, and except for the binding, are pretty easy. Yes, you can buy inexpensive potholders at the Dollar Store, but what fun is that? You spend a lot of time in the kitchen. You can experience a lot of happy moments when you place your own homemade potholders around the room.
