The Teapot Quilt Block

 

 

 

Here is a cute quilt block that can be pieced. You can paper piece this quilt block, but you can also piece it.

 

The short diagonal lines in the block can be made using the snowball technique.

 

The long diagonal lines, such as in the pouring spout,  can be made be first cutting out a rectangle of the background fabric  and then sewing a piece of the teapot fabric to it with a diagonal seam.

 

The teapot quilt block is a great block to use to make kitchen items, such as potholders and placemats.
