Strip Pieced Diagonal Squares Quilt

If you want to make a quilt quickly, strip piecing will do it.  The quilt below is made quickly by cutting strips and sewing them together; including the first strip to the last strip to make a tube.  Then the piece is turned sideways and the sewn blocks are cut into strips.

To get your flat rows of sewn together blocks, you unsew (using your seam ripper)  the correct seam in the tube so that the top piece changes and the blocks move down with each cut.  This quilt is a nice blend of colors and prints. These type of quickly pieced quilts are often made for charity.
